About Us
TrottStockPhotos is a Bermuda-based website created in 2008 and dedicated to sports stock photos. I have been a journalist with Bermuda’s daily newspaper, The Royal Gazette, since 1976, first as a sports reporter, then a features writer in the Lifestyle section and now as a sub editor.
I also worked as a sports editor for the twice-weekly Bermuda Sun but sports photography has always been my passion. I took my first sports photo soon after joining The Royal Gazette and I have seen photography go through a tremendous transformation over the years, from the days of processing film in the darkroom to where we are now with the emergence of digital photography.
Some of the highlights of my photography career include my first solo photo exhibition Through the Long Lens in 1994 and the publication of my book Bermuda Sports in 1997 - the first book of its kind produced in Bermuda. As a result of this an invitation was extended to me to serve as a jury member of the International Olympic Committee’s BEST Photo Competition in 1998 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
This website contains images from the slide and film era, many never-seen-before as well as many current photos.
